Weekend Update

Preston and I went away to the Gaylord Palms for the weekend. Grandma took the boys and Aunt Dedi took the dog, and off we went. My mom was able to get us one of the Executive Suites (she works there doing banquets) over looking the Everglades. It was great. On Friday night we ate at The Old Hickory Restaurant, yummo! Saturday we woke up late, well late for us 8:45am, and leisurely made it down to our couples massage at 10:00 at the Canyon Ranch Spa.

Afterwards we got cleaned up and had some lunch, took in a movie, and walked around Disney Beach and Yacht Club Resort. There we had a very nutritious dinner from the Beaches and Cream Sundry Shop...an order of french fries and a No Way Jose Sundae...this consisted of brownies, 3 scoops of vanilla icecream, hot fudge, peanut butter, chocolate and peanut butter chips. OMG...Heaven. We then walked around and decided this was a place we DEFINITELY wanted to bring the boys back to. They have a video arcade game right next door to the Sundry Shop...two of Ethan's favorite things (video games and icecream). At 8:00 on the beach area the fun begins...campfire songs followed by a nightly movie. This would be a kid's fantasy night. We plan on bringing the boys back for an evening of fun real soon.

Sunday we got up LATE again and went for breakfast and then headed home. It was such a great weekend and really enjoyed our time away. Now back to reality. UGH.
