Today was the last game of the football season for the boys! They were actually undeafeated (although they do not keep official score at this age) but lost their first game today! :( Bummer...
Ethan has been wanting to score a touchdown sooooo bad all season long. He has thrown for a touchdown a few times, however, he wanted to be the one to actually run the football into the end zone! Well, today he got the chance. It wasn't the actual touchdown, but it was for the 2 point conversion. One of the boys thru the ball right to Ethan and he ran it in! The joy on his face was priceless!!!
We came back to the field at 1:00pm for what was supposed to be a cake/punch and awards party...HA...they are obviously lacking in party planning skills over here folks. We showed up at 1:00 to find a football field with various teams waiting on the "presentation". The presentation ended up being some guy with a box of trophies and certificates and 2 homemade cakes still in the pan with no napkins or plates to eat from. Okay...so we'll skip the eating portion of the party...bring on the trophies, right???? Come to find out, they accidentally misplaced the 5-6 year old's box of trophies!!! OMG...does this guy understand what this moment means to the kids? They have been talking about the coveted trophy for weeks and extremely excited to add it to their small, but growing collection of useless plastic on their shelves.
So they handed out the certificates to each player instead...
Here the coach, which actually happens to be Preston's cousin, Richie, is opening a gift from the team! We got him a football frame and a gift certificate to Sports Authority!
Just as we were getting to leave...SOMEONE FOUND THE BOX OF TROPHIES!!!!

I love that your boys get along so well. In most pictures, they have their arms aroudn each other--so cute.
