This week is a VERY short week for us at home. The boys did their usual days at Circle, home Tuesday and Thursday with me, but Friday they are spending time with grandma (AKA NO SCHOOL)! Therefore, we didn't get as much accomplished in the guide as we normally do.
Right now we are studying the Twelve Tribes of Israel. The boys traced a map of Israel and divided each section by each tribe.
Filled in all the names....
They wanted to show the rivers as well....
Then today we made a key in the upper left corner showing each of the sons' moms and color coded each. They colored each tribe location based on who their mom was.
Thought they did a great job on their maps!
Today we finished our Storytime book, Tirzah. We enjoyed that book a lot and will be heading next into Aesop's Fables!
I was in the office today answering some emails and Ethan wanted to be near me to finish his math work. He decided to just lay down behind me to get it done! Love that about schooling at home...you're not confined to a desk all day long, nor one room, and in our case often....not even a shirt! LOL
Obviously we do a lot more schoolwork than these pictures show, I just typically don't take pictures of all the grammar work, poetry assignments, bible time, copywork, extension reading, etc..etc...
