We are about to embark on our next year of homeschooling...I can hardly believe it!!! This will be the start of our 5th year homeschooling (with the exception of the past 6 months obviously). That is mind blowing!!!
We have decided to cut our summer days short, and begin our school year next Monday! We typically start the first week of August, so in reality we are only starting 2 weeks earlier for us. It's just soooo hot and with all of our planned vacations behind us and not much else on our summer agenda, and no pool to help ease the long hot days, we thought it a good idea to get our school year underway. We are thinking we will take the entire month of December off when the weather in Florida is BEAUTIFUL. Plus, with participating in the Singing Christmas Trees and the long practices ahead, it might just make more sense to embrace the Christmas Season fully and thoroughly enjoy my favorite time of the year, sans school!
That's the beauty of homeschooling...you get to make the schedule that works for your family!! We are all so excited about this year ahead of us.

I'm thinking of starting early too. Yikes! I'm still not 100% sure of my curriculum yet. Pray for me please! You know this is the hardest part for me:) the perfectionist in me just can't figure out how to decipher "the perfect curriculum"... If there even is such a thing!
