This year, for our family vacation, we had a FAMILY vacation. We went on the Disney Dream for 5 nights with all of Preston's immediate family members (Uncle Tim, Aunt Shannon, Blake, Addie, Uncle Brett, Aunt Candice, Cooper, Nonna, Pop, Aunt Carol and Uncle Michael) We had a GREAT time!
The kids really enjoyed exploring the ship together (especially when we let them go without any adult with them!) The boat had many great activities for them to do, but for some reason (perhaps age???) they didn't enjoy the Oceaneer's Lab like they did two years ago. However, they spent time riding the Aquaduck, playing shuffleboard, wasting money in the arcade, MANY trips to the icecream cone area, and playing mystery detective with these really cool interactive pictures they had on every level of the ship.

The Three Amigos: Blake, Ashton and Ethan. These three spent the most time together. Cooper often preferred the serenity of his quite cabin with his parents. These guys thoroughly enjoyed spending time with each other.
We had a GREAT experience in the dining room with our wait staff! Here is Ashton and Julie. She was from Thailand, and just the sweetest girl ever. She was so good with the kids.
We ventured out in Nassau as a large group...going into all the straw markets, bartering with the locals.

Everyone had gotten off the boat at Castaway Cay when we realized we forgot Ashton's Key to
the World card (which is required for leaving and boarding the ship)...so we ran back up to the
room to get this. When we came back down, the Incredibles were setting up in the foyer
with barely a line, so we decided to grab the opportunity for Ashton to get a picture with them.

On Day 4 we all purchased tickets to go parasailing! It was actually a very overcast day, raining and thundering on occasion. We were all very worried that it might cancel our adventure. Ashton was VERY worried about that. Ethan was VERY worried about the thunder and would have easily said Adios to the thought of parasailing. Much to Ashton's delight however, the thunder subsided and the adventure was ON. What the weather DID leave behind however, was a VERY turbulent ocean. I get easily seasick and when signing up for parasailing, I really didn't give this ANY thought. Perhaps I should have.... first up, however, was Daddy and Ashton!
They strapped in their harnesses to the parachute while Ethan and I, and another family on board the boat looked on.
In a matter of minutes they were UP!!! Preston later told me that Ashton was SOOOOO excited. At one point he screamed, "I'm the King of the World!!!....sorry I had to get that out of my system!" LOL Too funny!
The ride WAS rather short though...only 5 minutes of actually being in the air. I was a bit disappointed with that, especially based on the cost of the adventure.
After they came back down, it was Ethan and my turn. He did NOT want to go up. We practically had to wrestle him into the harness position and make him go up. We knew once he got up there he would LOVE it, which he did! He thanked me several times for making him do this, because it WAS a lot of fun!

Last night on board the Dream we took more photos with our awesome wait staff! We are going to miss them!!
The grand foyer of the ship...I guess that's what you call it??? Amazing isn't it? Looks like some fancy hotel, not a boat!
One of the evenings was family karaoke night! Blake and Ashton decided they wanted to try their hand at it and requested, "Who Let the Dogs Out!" It was hilarious! It is actually a really fast song, and they were really only able to sing the chorus...they couldn't get their lips (and brains) to move fast enough to sing the lyrics of the rest of the song!
