Today was the last day of school for the boys and Character Awards Day too! I LOVE character awards. Yes, it's wonderful for your child to get the Straight A or Honor Roll or Student of the Year award...those are all very wonderful, but character awards mean SO MUCH more to me. If my children receive straight A's but are just not nice people to be around, or display ZERO fruits of the spirit, then we have our priorities all out of whack!
Ashton was given the character trait of GENEROSITY! His teacher said that Ashton understands that all things come from the Lord and he blesses others around him with his gifts. Whether it is sharing his snack with someone that doesn't have one, bringing in items the school can use (ie...he insisted we purchase several kickballs for each grade because so many grades were without a kickball!) or sharing his space and talents with others, Ashton shows great generosity in all areas!!

Ethan received the character trait of SENSITIVITY. His teacher said that Ethan is very sensitive to the feelings and emotions of others. He shares in their joys when they are excited, or senses when someone is sad and grieves with them.
I couldn't have picked a better trait to describe you Ethan. I completely agree!!!
Ashton made some great friends while at FCS. Here he is with his two "Best Buds" Jacob Johnson and Blake Murphy. Even though we won't be back next year, we've committed to remaining close friends with these guys!
